I knew from a very young age that fitness was my passion. I owned my very first “get in shape girl” exercise equipment when I was 7 years old and I used to lead family members through pretend workouts. I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. I was introduced to Pilates in 2003 and have been teaching ever since. I absolutely love how Pilates makes you more in tune with your body by working from the inside out. Being able to take the principles of Pilates and applying it to how you carry your body in everyday movements from walking, bending over, picking up kids, weight lifting or just sitting. Pilates truly is beneficial for EVERYONE young and old. I received my mat training through Powerhouse Pilates and my reformer/tower training with The Pilates Coach working with Leslie Bender. I am currently going through the Balanced Body full comprehensive program. I am an AFAA group certified instructor and Balanced Body Barre trained. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 kids. Aside from yoga, Pilates and traditional gym workouts I love to keep myself active by being outdoors. Running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, road races and triathlons are just some of my favorites.
