Valerie began practicing yoga to relieve stress and regain flexibility while working on her Masters in Organization Development. She was blessed with learning from a gifted teacher who integrated yogic philosophy, pranayama, meditation, and Ayurveda with her Iyengar teaching methodology, inspiring Valerie’s passion for yoga.

Wanting to deepen her personal practice, Valerie completed her 200 YTT at Sattva and has continued learning and training since with, among others, Maty Ezraty, Janet McLeod, and, most recently, completing Relax and Renew Restorative teacher training certification with Judith Hanson Lasater.

Valerie believes in a healthy balance of quieting the mind and restoring the body with working hard and efficiently; a balance she finds in alignment based and yin yoga. She integrates this approach in her work in leadership development and teaching yoga. Valerie is honored to support students journey to relaxation and loves seeing the relaxed smiles at the end of class.

When not enhancing leaders skills and teaching yoga at the studio and with triathletes, Valerie mentors entrepreneurs, enjoys baking, running, and spending time with her husband Rich and their crazy dog, Riley.
